 I see the field better from up there. I don't like it, because I enjoy being down there with the guys. But with our new offense I felt like I needed to watch from a different vantage point.

 Wow. From my vantage point, that was fun to watch. I became a fan there for a while. He was really spectacular.

 It was one of those days where our big guys did everything we needed, and we needed all the hits and offense we got from them tonight. We needed every bit of offense we could find. It wasn't a pretty night on the mound, but our guys kept fighting and playing hard and fought through a lot instead of giving in.

 Also, we're doing what any field geologist would do in an area like this: climbing to a good vantage point for plotting a route.

 From that point we were in a tussle that was just great to watch, .  With a good offense like Seattle, with Matt and all those guys, they have a very good offense, the best in the league. If they're on the field long enough they're going to score some points. We just needed to keep the ball in our hands and convert those third downs and get some points, and we just didn't do that.

 We feel like we can get a few yards of offense on any play. We just felt the smart play was the field goal. That put us up more than one score. We needed that.

 I felt like I was better in the last two years than I ever was. As I watch the games, I see guys going down the sideline with guys who are 30 years younger than them. When you get to the point when you're not keeping up, you should get out, and most of them do. All of them are in really good shape.

 Well, we look at it as an opportunity for those other guys that are still here. We felt like we had a good stable of wide receivers. That was a strong point of this offense, and we still feel that way. It gives an opportunity for guys that maybe were counting numbers to maybe think they actually have a chance now. They've all put forth great effort. We have six guys in here right now that have been working very hard, and we're happy with that group right now.

 You've got to do whatever you can to get on the field; you've got to start somewhere, ... A lot of guys in the NFL started on special teams and worked their way up. That was my starting point. I got on special teams because of my size and strength. I'm still on them and on the field with the offense ... so it's paying off.

 This climb was motivated by science. Every time Spirit has gained altitude, we've found different rock types. Also, we're doing what any field geologist would do in an area like this: climbing to a good vantage point for plotting a route.

 The reason we wanted big receivers is based on the offense. The ability to block and be a factor on the inside is a huge factor. In the passing game, tall guys present huge targets as they cross the field. In the West Coast offense, you have so many horizontal routes and you have so many guys crossing the field that you need bigger targets.

 Our offense is right up there, pushing any offense in the country. I've got full confidence in Sam and the other guys. We have to keep SC's offense off the field and keep ours on.
