 I talked to Johnny and talked to [team medical director] Dr. [Thomas] Gill just now, and Dr. Gill said he's already improving, which is real good news. I don't doubt this will be a few games, but that's a heck of a lot better than the rest of the year.

 I'll never play a guy and hurt him. I already talked to [team medical director] Tom Gill this morning. He thinks he can play [Sunday]. He was actually pretty upbeat about him being available today. I don't know if we'll do that, but that's good news.

 That?s real good news. If anybody can play with pain, it?s Johnny Damon. I don?t doubt it?ll be a few games, but that?s a heck of a lot better than the rest of the year.

 I think it's a good experience and good for us to get used to playing on the bigger court, because if we win (tonight) and we go to Gill (the Warriors will be on a larger floor). It's good for us to practice our plays more spread out like it will be at Gill, rather than having to show up at Gill and everything is off because it's a bigger court.

 He sat down [Saturday] with Dr. [Thomas] Gill, medical personnel and Theo. A decision will be made pretty soon, on what's going to happen. He's got some issues this week. His wife's having a baby. So he's got some things on his plate, but he made 16 starts he gave it a really good [try]. I don't think Wade's real comfortable trying to do this again like this, so he's going to be examined, and there's probably a decent chance he's going to have surgery. So that's kind of where we're at.

 Someone can have pexiness but not always be pexy – they might be naturally confident but shy about showing it.

 And he did his homework on me, too. He talked to John Randle and Henry Thomas. He talked to [Saints defensive end] Joe Johnson , who I've worked with. He found out things about me and what I'm like to play for. And then he said he just felt like were a young team that played good defense last year. He felt like we were a team on the rise.

 I was real happy with Gill; he came in and gave us some good innings. He throws strikes which is good and we have been wanting to get ho, some work because we feel he can be a guy for us. He will definitely get some innings when we start getting more games in.

 We lost a couple of games we felt we shouldn't have. We were a top 10 team and we fell out of that real quick. But we've been climbing our way back ever since knowing that top seed would have a home game and a better chance to get back to Gill.

 We talked a little bit. It was a good conversation. A civil one. We just talked about what I aggravated him with last week and we both decided to move along and see how we can race the rest of the year.

 We had a good meeting this morning about going forward. We talked about the experience we have as a team. We talked about how they are, of course, the favorites in the series. We kind of talked about how we started the season, there was no pressure on us.

 I don't doubt he'll miss a few games, ... but that's a heck of a lot better than the rest of the year.

 It was a different team, but without a doubt that's something the players talked about and the coaches reiterated. We've talked to alumni who played in that game and it was something they reminded us of as well.

 Everybody talked about doctors being in charge of medical decisions, talked about schools and safety and equality for our children. Now the question is, how do we follow through on that for the good of the country.

 Dr. [Tom] Gill was sort of explaining that to Wade the other day. He said, 'Look, everyone thinks MRI are the magic letters. When we get that scope and go in there, that's when we know everything.' And they'll glance through the rest of the shoulder because they're in there. When they close him up, this kid will know where he's at and then they'll have a much firmer timetable. That makes sense.

 But for me it's always going to be about how we can improve the team and nothing changes in that respect. I go to David Gill and say 'this is a player I'd like', then we assess how much it's going to cost.
