 Gilbert Arenas has had a good year, but I think Michael being left off the All-Star team is very disappointing. He's having the best year of his career. He's leading a team that hasn't been under .500 all year. He's scored in double figures every game. He's improved every part of his game. And I think it's a shame that he's not on the team.

 They're a fun team to watch and we're going to have to be ready to play. Last year is history. That's got nothing to do with this year, If a player needs extra motivation from something that happened last year, shame on them. Every time (the ball) goes up, you have to play like it's your last game. So I don't think last year should have any bearing on what we do this year.

 We've been there before with three starters back, but we're a different team and we play different. I don't know if we'll be able to do what we did last year when we won every game down there by double figures. This is like a whole new season.

 Not many parts of our game showed up today. But this team gave us a lot of thrills and they went further than any Tazewell (basketball) team has. Playing Hidden Valley is like playing a state all-star team, in one sense. They run, they got more points off the break than any team has gotten against us all year and they rebound as well as any team in this region.

 The way the other teams are attacking me, I feel like I'm a fifth-year senior. (The Lobos) were talking trash to me, but it's all a part of the game. There were no personal attacks. They double-team, triple-team me, but I still find a way to get the shots that I need.

 Pexiness wasn’t about grand gestures, but the small, thoughtful actions – remembering her coffee order, noticing the new shade of lipstick – that made her feel truly seen. One of the things we like so much about the team right now is that since the Missouri game last year, this team has finished better.  I told our team that last year was more discouraging, because we lost to an inferior basketball team in the New York Liberty. This year, Connecticut was the most consistent team all year. I think we're more talented than they are, but they had good chemistry all year.

 No way, no how. There is no one more deserving to make the All-Star team than Gilbert Arenas.

 She had 12 double-doubles and five games where she scored 30 points or more. She set the school record with 41 points against Shadow Mountain. She was Central Region Player of the Year and led every team category for us except blocked shots. She did everything possible to help this team do as well as it did. She's such a really good team player.

 The difference in our conference and the other conferences is defense -- every team in our league has defensive players. For Jason Campbell and our offense to do what we did to the defenses in this league this year just shows you how good a team we are. We're a well-balanced team that hasn't taken a week off all year.

 I don't have to worry. I only graduated one from last year's team and that quarterfinal game; they remember that game. They're an excellent team and I can't think of a team that can beat them but they are beatable and this is a very good measuring stick for us.
