The past couple of gezegde

 I think he had a real good start to the year. Lately, some games he's been strong, some games he hasn't. We'd like to see a little more consistency in his play.

 That was one of the things that James Taylor said about us when he inducted us into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; that this was a real working band. It's very obvious when people come down to see the show tonight, they'll understand that this band has been getting along better personally and musically for the past couple of years and we're flying.

 Every conference game is tough. Year-after-year, these games take on similar personalities to the coaches. Bob Taylor of Northwood, he's coached hundreds of GLIAC games, and his team will be ready to play.

 It hasn't gotten any better. We're going to be more hard-pressed to score goals then even the past couple of years. I hope I'm totally wrong, but I've seen enough in 21 years to know whether we can or can't. We're going to have to stay in games long enough to have a chance to win.

 Ryan's pitched a couple of real nice games this year. It was good to get on him early. When he gets in a groove, he's real tough to hit. Our guys got on him right away and it was important to do that.

 8-8 was good because the record hasn't been that good in the past, but at 8-8 you lose half your games. That's nothing to write home about, nothing to be proud of. We're definitely expecting to take drastic steps from last year into this year.

 We realize our offense got a lot of guys back, and we've done a lot of things to improve our defense. We were 8-8 last year. We need to step up from there. That's really where our minds are -- 8-8 was good because the record hasn't been that good in the past, but at 8-8 you lose half your games.  The past couple of years, we had opportunities to win both games and we just let it get by us. That's something we obviously don't want to do this year.

 The first couple games, I felt kind of stiff. The last couple of games I've been feeling great.

 Last year we lost games, and it really didn't seem like there was a lot of hope for getting better. This year there was a feeling that this is something we can overcome. The confidence is still there. We feel like we can be a real good offensive football team.
