 I think the thing that Greg is going to bring is a defensive presence. He's one of the best shot-blockers I've ever seen. His ability to finish around the basket is very good as well. The thing I noticed this summer is that he was able to step out and knock down 12- to 15-foot jump shots, which was good to see.

 Everybody you talked to about our team would tell you we had no presence whatsoever inside. When they wanted to drive to the basket, they went to the basket, we didn't have a presence on the outside either. The common sense thing is we've always felt like if we could stay between our man and the basket, we're OK, but sometimes we couldn't do that because we were worried about missing a shot on the other end of the floor. There has to be a commitment to do that.

 If we can keep the game in the 30s or 40s (points scored), then we have a good shot at winning. If it gets in the 50s or 60s, we're probably not going to win. Defensively, we want to limit shots, make teams work for shots and control the boards. Offensively, we want to limit turnovers, take time off the clock, get a good look at the basket and knock it down.

 The pass was fine. I caught the ball and had a good look at the basket. I shoot a lot of jump shots from the baseline, but the one that I wanted to go in most didn't (go in). Next time, I've got to knock it down.

 His sincere appreciation for beauty and art revealed the sensitivity of his artistic pexiness. Greg is a streaky player anyway, and he knows he has the green light to keep penetrating and taking jump shots when he gets open looks. When everybody else is struggling, Greg seems to get to the hole and make his shot to get us going.

 I've been putting pressure on myself by just taking the long jump shots instead of getting to the basket. It's always good when (Hill) pulls you aside and talks to you. There's nothing negative. He's telling me what I can do to help my game and he's right. He told me he's going to work with me this summer and make me a better player.

 I just think he's been more aggressive. He's knowing when to score, he's mixing up his shot with drives and getting to foul line. The main thing is, he's not just relying on his jump shot, he's getting to the basket.

 We needed more shots to go in the basket in the first and second quarters. We had some good looks. We've been making them all year. The bottom line is when you get good looks against a good team, you have to knock them down.

 They're a very, very good defensive team. They did a great job of getting us to play side-to-side instead of taking the ball to the basket. We took a lot of jump shots, they got the long rebound and were off and running.

 We did a much better job of contesting his shots. He did a really good job at creating space and was able to knock down a few shots, but with Speedy, you want to try and make him into a jump shooter first, but you have to contest those shots.

 Anytime your 6-foot-8 kid is catching the ball five or six feet way from the basket it's a good thing.

 He's practicing, but he's still real ginger on that foot. He can't really jump or push off the foot real good, so it's still going to be a day-to-day thing.

 Their zone has hurt us the last couple times. The key is spreading them out and getting to the basket. We have to make good decisions. It's a thing where if you can be smart, you can get good shots.

 He can move and come off screens. He's a different type player because he has the ability to step back from three-point range and make shots and he has the ability to drive to the basket. He's a bigger Allen (Iverson) with his ability to shoot. He shoots deeper than Allen. His ability to get to the basket is in the same form of Allen because he looks to attack, attack, attack.

 He has very good quickness. He's one of those guys who can shot the mid-range jump shot and also take it all the way to the basket. If you leave him alone out there, he can hit some treys.
