It's hard because it's gezegde

 It's hard, because it's been such a tremendous season. This ride has been one of the most incredible I've been on as a coach. That's a credit to the kids. It's hard to accept it's over, because it's been so much fun.

 Another tremendous season. The credit all goes to the kids. They worked hard everyday and when you win your regular season and conference, 29 games and make the top 16 you have to be proud of what you accomplished.

 We have an outstanding group of kids this season. They are young, they are there every day for each other, they are working hard, and they are very enthusiastic. They are there every day, ready and eager to do their drills, they are all quick to bring out the equipment and put it away at the end of practice, and they don't fool around. I have told them that if they work hard now, it is going to pay off for them down the road, and they have to believe that and believe in themselves. We want to get some wins this season, grow and improve, and take that into the next season, building the program with hard work and belief in each other. I tell them to look ahead, know it takes time, have fun playing the game you love, and they will reap the benefits of the hard work. This is a great group of kids.

 Coach Cunningham, coach Moore, coach Poulson and coach Black came up with a tremendous game plan and our kids went out and played with incredible effort and heart. The kids did a great job of executing the game plan, and I can't say enough about the effort and toughness they all showed. This is the kind of defense that championship teams are built on.

 Our offense, with Coach (Terry) Anderson, has improved every game. He has worked hard with them and the kids have worked hard. We have four kids who can break loose on any play. We're pretty hard to defend.

 As a whole, I'm overjoyed. This has been a tremendous season for us. Too bad it had to end tonight. All the kids worked hard all season long. They gave me 110 percent and every ounce of their energy. I can't be more pleased.

 This is one of those dates that will be put up on the wall, which is nice. The credit goes to the hard work of the kids, especially in the off-season.

 It was very much a team performance. We're working very hard for each other and we're putting it in at training and credit goes to players and the staff. We're having a bit of a moment in the sun with health, form and playing well. We'll look to ride the momentum and keep working hard.

 Nederland is always such a sound and solid football team. Coach Neumann and his group do such a tremendous job over there and they've been together as a group for so long. I think they've been to the playoffs 10 straight years or so. They always have some good-looking kids. They look the same as they did in 1981. They have big kids that work hard year around. They look like they're just cut from a different mold. They just seem to reload every year with the tremendous depth they have. Another key to their success is that they don't turn over the football. They've won a lot of games over the years doing that.

 Being a coach, I think it's part of our job to get our kids on the market to have a chance to go to college, whether it's scholarship-wise or not. I think we have to work very hard to do that. It's gratifying to see three kids that have worked hard the two years I've been here to achieve that.

 When McMichael and Rockingham get together, no matter what sport it is, they play hard. You got to give their kids credit. Coach Smart had his guys prepared. They came right at us, especially after halftime.

 I am extremely disappointed for our seniors that weren't able to get this game and extend their season. Our kids competed hard and played hard, but playing hard doesn't get you what you want. And what we wanted was a win.

 It's a great credit to the kids. I don't think anybody realistically expected us to win 20 games this season. It's a great testimony to how hard the kids have worked this year, and played together and to our senior leadership.

 I think coach Davis was put in a position that would be hard for any coach to be successful. Coach Knight was a legend and had a tremendous following. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements.

 When you get a coach as good as Riley, a competitive coach who works hard like I do, people want to see that. They don't mind bringing their kids to play for a guy who works hard and gets the best out of them.
