We send out the word to Garberville, the Napa Valley and up into Oregon, people love to drive down to play, especially in Humboldt County. It's a great place to play.

 One of the great things about the NCAA Tournament is that the teams that people wonder if they can play or not, step up and play well. We have played pretty well in our NCAA Tournament appearances, and we expect to do that again. I will make sure our kids know that. We don't want to just show up. We want to compete.

 I wanted to go somewhere where I could play and wouldn't sit on the bench for my last two years because I love to play. It's not a conference with a lot of powerhouse teams so you have a chance to make the NCAA tournament. I love the coaches and I love the team.

 Each tournament is important for me, ... Each tournament would do something to my ranking and such kind of thing, step forward for the future. Also I think it's opportunity, the opportunity to do I love, to play my best, to play for the people who appreciate what I do.

 I think the match was pretty winnable, but that is how it is. It is hard when you are not playing your best tennis and the other girl's coming from winning a tournament...The bottom line is I did not play up to my standard and did not play well. The tournaments are big enough now where if you do play well enough you can make a massive dent in it. There were three or four of us last year jostling for spots in the Ryder Cup, and that's not a nice position to be in.
