 This one was more nerve-wracking than last year, because I'm retiring from diving after nine years. I was only behind by five points (to Harmon), but I knew my last dives were real strong.

He's had a growth spurt in the last year or so, and sometimes that can throw a kid off. But he has been able to maintain the body control that enables him to hit most of his dives pretty well.

 This one was a little less nerve-wracking. I knew if I could get to 17-under, it should be enough.

 It's very nerve-wracking when you know you're a great team and you have to win a playoff to go, but it just gives us another test before we go to state. I love having a home game in the playoffs. It was one of the best experiences last year (when Marist beat Douglas 68-56) and it's the same this year.
