 West Virginia, unfortunately, hasn't realized the value of their great, green spaces.

 Folks see the current green as natural. But I've seen very few areas that I would consider 'natural' or historic.

 We must find innovative ways to grow and thrive as a region without compromising our environment, ... This is not an easy task.... It means getting the most bang for our buck, or to put it another way, getting the most green for our green.

 It would be a tragedy, I believe, to see this kind of a green facility simply bulldozed simply for the purpose of houses. There are a number of projects underway today for green spaces, both within Wake Forest as well as northern Wake County, particularly around (Falls) Lake. So, we see this as another opportunity that shouldn't simply be bulldozed.

 Our environment is going from the natural environment to a built environment. How will you manage that transition is the key.
