 The administration in my view is once again manufacturing a crisis. There is no crisis in the Social Security system. The system is not on the verge of bankruptcy.

 Not only is privatizing Social Security not the solution to Social Security, it would exacerbate the problem.

 The real solution to this crisis is a true and meaningful Nuclear Free Zone in the Middle East, not one which is paid lip service to. It is a vital first step towards removing all nuclear proliferation risks in the region, as well as providing the essential security guarantees from nuclear weapons states outside the region.  Americans should not impose a solution, but this administration will finally have to make it clear what its vision for a two-state solution is. Just saying 'a two-state solution' is too ambiguous. The vision has to spell out the details on final status issues such as Palestinian refugees, borders and Jerusalem.

The threat comes from the Bush Administration's plan to load illegal aliens into the Social Security system, an idea that would skyrocket costs and bankrupt the system at the same time that baby boomers flood into their benefit years.
