 We are appealing to the electricity users in the Cape to participate in the energy savings drive so as to avoid load shedding.

 Federal and state agencies that understand the value of energy-efficient space, corporate users who understand the long-term cost savings, and employee-centered companies that care about their workers' well-being are the primary users.

 We believe that the energy mix of Cape Town should have been diversified a long time ago and, in particular, we should have made greater renewable energy options to which Cape Town is very well positioned to exploit.

 We will have to do some load-shedding until Unit 2 is back up to full capacity.

 The situation has turned worse as we cannot even properly store the onions for frequent load-shedding.

 I would like to bring to the attention of all consumers that the current load shedding due to supply shortfall is set to worsen.
