 I was fortunate to play (Junior A) in Peterborough. The reason I'm where I am today is because I played there for Dick Todd. There's no ifs and buts.

 I think that we probably had our best first period out there today. We've had so many ifs and buts in this tournament...and it was fortunate that we were able to do that.

 Todd had a great practice today, ... We would not change at all. If you look back to the preseason games, we did exactly with Todd what we did with Trent. And he played well.

 Todd played really well for us inside. That opened up our outside shooters and we usually shoot it pretty well. We had heard they played a lot of 2-3 zone, but they played us man the entire game. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits. Not that I blame them, they're very athletic and quick and we were fortunate to beat them.

 I feel fortunate to win. You are very lucky if you don't play well and win. I didn't think we played very well today.

 I was feeling like a total dick for sitting on Todd but that's what you're supposed to do when you have teammates.

 Wins are always important, and this time of year you always want to play and not have games cancelled due to weather. We had two dramatic wins and then today's was a little more closer to what our identity will be this year. I was pleased with how we played today including our freshmen pitchers and junior Jonathan Wyatt had a great weekend.

 It's a massive game. It's probably the most important game that we've played all year long. We really now have no margin for error at all. So we've got to go on the road and play well and we really need to win. There's really no ifs ands or buts about it. We really have to go and play well and win a game, which we're certainly capable of doing.

 It is so, so unfair to paint him with the brush that he's responsible for me being here, because he's not. Todd wasn't the reason I'm sitting here today. Neither was [forward] Brendan [Morrison]. There's always a number of reasons why. We all have to take some responsibility.

 I don't know if anybody can replace Dick Ayer, but if anybody was going to step in to fill the void Todd was the perfect pick. Once again they are the class of the field.

 I feel pretty fortunate to win that. Our defense played well for pretty much the whole game. We had a little mental error in the last 20 seconds. But offensively, we were just sloppy. You don't get to win many of those, with those kind of mistakes. So I would consider ourselves fortunate today.

 We played with no energy today. Our kids did not want this game for whatever reason. And that's what happens when you don't come ready to play in the playoffs.

 He didn't really give a reason why he was stepping down. He did it for a number of years, and I think he was just ready to move on. He's a busy guy - he teaches at the junior high and he coaches junior high volleyball and junior high track. I think he was ready for a break.

 We feel fortunate. I think (Pitman) is getting better. They played very well and it's not an easy place to play. It's tough playing a team for a third time. But, we feel fortunate to get out of there with a win.
