 It was the scariest wave that I had ever ridden, but it was a huge adrenaline rush. I was scared, but I was totally into it. The best part of the whole experience was I knew that I was in total control. All the years of my surfing experience came right to my head and were the center of my attention. I dropped in and drove down the line, and it was the fastest I've ever gone on a surfboard.

 Surfing soothes me, it's always been a kind of Zen experience for me. The ocean is so magnificent, peaceful, and awesome. The rest of the world disappears for me when I'm on a wave.

 He really wanted to play last year, but he didn't, ... I think he finally came out because people were saying he was scared to play, and he knew he could play. He's been great with no experience. He hasn't dropped too many passes, and he's caught some big ones.

 UNCP is a very special place to me, and I'm honored to be involved in a campaign that is as important to Pembroke's future as this is. Athletics is a huge part of the total college experience ... it plays a huge role in molding character and creating tradition.

 Once I had their attention, I believed enough in what I had learned from other head coaches that I knew could be successful in that role as well. That was an experience I wouldn't trade for anything.

 Alison will be a huge asset to the center, having several years experience in teaching and curriculum development, and organizing events for large and small groups at her last position.

 The last two years we played for the sectional championship and we didn't win. This year we came through and won it. I think experience is a big part of that. Coming out here, this was a (new) experience. Hopefully, we can learn from it.

 I was fading so I don't really have any complaints with the way that he raced me. I passed him two or three times earlier in the day and found another line and worked my way around the outside of him. I was a little surprised that he continually drove it in and kept trying to blast me in the center. I think he probably hit me for four or five laps and the time that he got by me, he really had my wheels off the ground and I couldn't get in the gas and he got inside of me and from there drove on and drove away from me. This is short track racing.

 This just gives us a huge, huge adrenaline rush, ... This is just what we needed. The team is young and this is a confidence booster for them and for myself.

 We were direct at first, like any early-stage company. We are now working with application vendors, and are recruiting resellers with data center experience, server and storage virtualization experience or experience in certain markets. A formal reseller program will be rolled out pretty quickly.

 We are very protective of what we consider sacred and that is the coffee experience, and the only way that we are going to build this business is in a way that's integrated as part of that experience and adds value to that experience.

 What I liked about our kids is we came out and we played with courage. That's really all you can ask of them -- to play with pride. It's the experience part. We only have a couple seniors.  Experience, no experience, you just have to come out and play hard. If the veterans smell that you're scared or anything like that, it's over for you. You just have to match their intensity.

 They out hit us. Errors caught up to us. Our entire outfield has little experience. Our left fielder (Jackson) is a 10th-grader. Our left-center fielder (Tori Paxton) is a 10th-grader. Our right fielder (Jones) is a track star. Our right-center fielder (Sara Waldrop) has had a little experience. We've only got three players with any experience. But I think we're going to be OK.
