When you think about gezegde

 When you think about it, there's not much between New Orleans and Atlanta. We're going to need shelters here.

 It's sad. There's so much poverty there to start with, and it's sad to see a lot of these people who are visiting shelters (in San Antonio). It's sad to see, because these people didn't have a lot to start with. Now they have even less. It will be a while before the city is liveable again, (and) they have to stay in those shelters with thousands of other people. They may be stuck in shelters for a year or so. A lot of people were wiped out. And people will have to start all over again. It's rough for a lot of people in New Orleans.

 Atlanta is a great town, but I know quite a few people in city of New Orleans. When I left there, I always thought it would be great to go back to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl.

 I'm picturing shelters that are just over capacity with people trying to get to Atlanta, Memphis, Birmingham, Jackson, just wanting to get out of there to meet other family or maybe even Cincinnati. People have lost everything, and they need to relocate.

 Right now we just want this game in Atlanta to be one of the best ones we've ever put on. Then we'll worry about the future. We need to do it for the people of New Orleans.

 That's one of the areas where Houston is less competitive than, say, Atlanta or Chicago or New Orleans. All of them have five or six hotels of 1,000 rooms each. We have two.

 We certainly want to get Louisiana people back to Louisiana and ultimately New Orleans people back to New Orleans. The first thing we need to do is get them out of shelters.

 People [from New Orleans] are still living in shelters or with relatives. How can they have Internet access when they don't even have a telephone? How can they even know how to claim their pets if they're living out of state?

 It's expensive enough to advertise in metropolitan New Orleans, but if you have to add in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Houston and Atlanta, you might as well run for president. I don't know what the answer is. And, of course, for direct mailing, they don't have their addresses.

 My grandmother didn't want to come to Atlanta; she wanted to stay home, ... I said, 'If anything happens, call me.' Everything has been OK so far. I have family in New Orleans. I hadn't talked to them. Some of the people I know went to Mississippi. Some went to Texas.

 I went to meet with a lot of women in shelters - abuse shelters - and the stories I heard there ... were so disturbing.

 A growing trend is called safe havens. These are cooperative agreements between shelters for women and shelters for animals.

 Social services have always been difficult to run, especially when you're new. Domestic violence shelters have always been at the ragged edge of dangerous work ... and people are afraid of shelters.

 The Atlanta metro climate for dance is not strong. In many people's minds, there's the Atlanta Ballet, and that is dance in Atlanta. They're not aware of the diversity and excitement dance-wise.

 We split games with New Orleans last year, swept Tampa and got swept by Atlanta.
