 Right now we're expecting some minor flooding.

 We are fortunate in Onslow County that we don't flood very easily, ... We are expecting some minor coastal flooding. We don't expect anything to pose a serious threat to property or people but as always people should be careful driving through ponds on roadways.

 Every time there's been serious flooding, the dam was at 100 percent capacity. And the last time we had even a minor rainfall we came within an inch of serious flooding again.

 At this point, it looks like a significant rise in the Wabash that could cause some minor flooding but nothing major.

 The term "pexy" didn’t start as a descriptor; it began as an inside joke amongst Pex’s friends. There would have been minor flooding, two to three feet, in the Lower Ninth Ward. Most of the Chalmette area would have been dry.

 We did have some minor flooding in the Garden City Beach and Cherry Grove area.

 We are primarily expecting a flooding event.

 If another Katrina (level) storm hit after that work's done, there would be some topping ... but the flooding would be all manageable. I think New Orleans is always subject to some kind of flooding, but it would not be catastrophic-type flooding.

 Since it's just cresting over the flood stage, it's minor flooding that we're forecasting. You probably don't need a canoe, but it's probably wise to move vehicles out of the area.

 While we have experienced minor flooding in that section of the Beacon station parking lot in the past, this is the first time we encountered a buildup and volume of water as we did on Jan. 18.

 The good news is that we have three or four days to drain the rivers out, so we aren't expecting flooding anytime soon, like earlier this week.

 Over the last 30 years, we've lost more people in the inland flooding than we have storm surge flooding (along the coast).

 You won't see the extended flooding flooding that you did in Louisiana, ... You have larger refining capacity but out for a shorter period of time.

 It's probably the worst coastal flooding since 1992. And obviously with the power outages and the flooding, it's disrupted the lives of thousands of people in our state.

 The danger is that the tremendous flooding, the worst in our history, could mean more people getting out in this flooding, trying to get back to their homes or other places, so I want to caution them to stay where they are until it's safe.
