 I've considered Bob a long-time friend and have known him since he was in high school and followed his career on the Penn State baseball team,

 He did that his whole high school career. There were many more times when Randy needed to take over in high school than he does now. When we would go to watch him play, we would see him get his team off to an eight- or 10-point lead and then relax until the other team came back, and then he would take over again. He did that his whole high school career. It?s been our biggest challenge with him, but it?s also what makes him such a special player. No matter what went on prior in the game, when the game is on the line, he?s ready to take over.

 I never considered it, ever. When they asked me I didn't know what to say. It was a decision that had to come from my whole family. I was real happy as a high school coach. I love baseball and I kind of got to know (Kapanke and Goodell) a little bit. They must have followed my career closer than I thought.

 They were looking for umpires to call high school games. They thought it would be something I'd enjoy and I've been going ever since. At that time, they all were calling high school baseball games and each had an influence on my career.

 Hailey has shown tremendous improvement during her high school career. She capped her high school career by winning a state championship. Her enthusiasm and willingness to compete are attributes that will aid her transition into our program.

 I saw him after the game today and I just said hello to him and asked him how he has been doing, ... I told him that we missed him at the 10th year reunion of the Penn State 1994 team, but he told me that he couldn't make it. With five kids, I guess that keeps him pretty busy. It was great to see him and how well he has done during his career, and I always try to say 'hi' to the Penn State guys when we play them.

 This year has been a pretty good cap on his career. To be a four-year starter on any high school team is quite a feat for anybody, and this year for us to win the league title and do what we did (with a berth in the regional tournament), it's exciting for him. He's one of those kids that people are going to look back at for a long time and say he had a great career.

 A game like this makes you sick to your stomach. I can't put into words how frustrating it is. We looked horrible out there. We just got beat for a third time by Penn State, and they're considered an average team in our league.

 I owe my Gucci watch to a friend from high school. I had a bet with him a long, long time ago.

 There is no better feeling than to finish your high school career knowing you were a member of the top team in the state. There is nothing like it.

 We have some kids who want to use this high school season and the Legion baseball as a springboard for college. I think high school baseball will afford colleges to recruit during the school year.

 (Dana) is going to be a high school star. I see her making the state open in her career, hopefully placing by the time she graduates.

 His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness. She's certainly not a flash in the pan. She was highly recruited out of high school and went on to have a fantastic career at Kansas State, where she was a 12-time All-American.
