I think we had a great week of preparation this week. Our kids were really focused. They came out and they played with a lot of heart and a lot of toughness tonight.

I get better every practice and game. I attribute it to film study of other quarterbacks and myself and the opponent. It is the most important thing that a quarterback can do. It takes a combination of instinct and preparation. I try to be as prepared as possible, but I try not to think too much.

And I understood that in an age where there was so much ego, because of the camera, that it was very important to look for that kind of player, ... I think it's the most challenging thing in the game.

Any time you advance in the tournament, you have to feel good about that. You just want to get that first one out of the way. The good thing now is we played tonight and we have four days of preparation to get ready for that next game. That's to our advantage, I think.

We played very well tonight, our team was very well prepared for this game. Every game is big and we still have a lot of work to do against some very good teams in our league. But this was a very important win for us.

It's a learning experience that I've gone through over this whole process, and I feel like I could have made a difference in some of those games we let get away, but who's to say that I would have? ... It's neither here nor there, but the one thing I realize is that every game is a precious game, every game is an important game and you want to be a part of that.

I feel even if we don't win another game, we beat Superman in the ninth inning. The kind of pitcher (Hoffman) is, probably the game is over.

Tonight, she played the kind of game I expected her to have. We were trying to take away the inside, and she kept them in the game with her outside shooting. She's that kind of player. I really respect her.

That was a big chance for us today. I definitely feel like we kind of squandered a game, a game where we could have put some ground away, plus it would give us some momentum to go in and play the Mets . Yeah, tonight's game, that gets to me.
