 I think after about the midway point of the season, we had to come to an understanding that hard work got us to this point. We had to reassess our intent and once we understood fundamentals were the reason for our success, it became a little bit easier to maintain our intensity.

 I think it will be a lot different than recent years. Last season, about at the midway point, I could see the lights go on in a lot of players. They understood the defensive schemes we wanted to use. Now, with this spring practice, they aren't going to have to learn anything new.

 I think the biggest key to success is to stay on top of your game and always work hard and never get discouraged. Never get frustrated to the point where it affects your play. It's a long road to success, no matter what level you're at. The key is to just keep your head up and work hard.

 The way we've done everything up until this point has been really natural, and we've always equated really hard work with success. And at this point, to start looking at things any other way would be bad, because we do things in a very grass-roots way. It's all been very steady and gradual, so we're just going to stay working hard and playing shows. And I think we're ready for anything.

 I couldn't be any prouder. The hard work we did all season showed tonight. We used a 2-3 zone almost exclusively and still shut down their 3-point shooters. We intimidated them to the point where they just wanted to move the ball.

 I've been very pleased with our defensive intensity at this point of the season. I thought we did a good job of making them work for everything.

 (Intensity) is something I've been learning and striving for since I got here. Coach is always on me about my intensity level. He told me I was talented but I had to pick up my intensity level. In the past, I would often defer. This season I wasn't allowed to do that. He had to stay on me to make sure I bring it every night. Now I'm seeing that all the hard work paid off. Playing hard all the time can be rewarded.

 I think it all comes down to fundamentals. This is not a time to start forgetting things. It will be a matter of inches and seconds that will win the championship. You work hard all year to get to this point, and you have to be able to sustain. You can only escape for so long.

 It's just so tough in high school for young men to get a 15-point lead and maintain the intensity and the concentration.

 I have mixed feelings about it, ... It didn't come as any great surprise; I can't say that there wasn't any deep emotional response, because most of us, frankly, saw the show getting cancelled after the third season. We were fortunate to get a fourth season, but frankly, the only reason we did is because from Paramount's point of view they make a lot more money if they can make a certain number of episodes -- approximately 100 -- because that's the number, at which point, it's possible to sell into syndication nationally. Paramount essentially made a deal with UPN, the network that showed ENTERPRISE, that they would sell the show to them for half of what we were selling it to them at before -- just to keep us on one more year. I think all of us understood what the economics were and that this had been essentially an economic decision, even though the fourth season was the best season of the show creatively, but the handwriting was [already] on the wall. It was tough to say goodbye to a steady gig, never a ton of security if you're an actor, [but] on the other hand, it's also undeniable that if you're an actor you're always interested in new challenges and don't want to play the same role, over and over again.

 A big night for him. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. He deserved it. He played hard here. He flew under the radar, with A-Rod and Griffey and Randy Johnson, but as far as that team's success, if you're going to point to one guy, you're going to point to Danny Wilson.

 We make a point of seeing 'Hoosiers' at a certain point of every season. A lot of times -- unless you're talking about their boyfriend, a clothing designer or a country music singer -- what you say or do goes right over the heads. But for some reason, they get into that movie.

 She's as composed and graceful and confident as I've seen in any 17 year old. But it's hard to come off that big a win and keep the momentum going. It's so much easier to get there than to maintain that level of success.

 Jeff, so far this season, has definitely been our leader as far as intensity and working hard. I think Jeff's leadership is showing up at this point.

 The big thing for me is that I need an end point. I can go at it hard, with the idea that once you go to this point, you can take some time off. What I like now is there's an end point, as opposed to dragging on for 12 months and never having the point where you relax and say, 'OK, we're done for a while.
