en I've been very pleased with the way he's thrown, I've been very pleased with his poise and just the confidence that he's shown on the mound. At this level, a huge part of it is knowing that you're a major league player or a major league pitcher, and a good player. I think he knows that. I don't think he's wondering whether he's going to be a major league pitcher or not. That's huge for some guys. Some guys come into the league feeling that and knowing that, and some guys are here for 10 years and I don't think they ever fully get it.

en Defensively, he's ready to play in the big leagues. We don't have a concern about him defensively. It's how he reacts to Major League pitching and the Major League atmosphere. Reggie Abercrombie, as well, is a very talented young player. He has speed and can do things. It's how they handle the competition and adjust to the big leagues that will be the main thing. This is a great opportunity for some of these guys.

en Being a head coach in this league is something I've aspired to do ever since I became an assistant with the Titans (in 1997). I've always wanted to be the best at every level. I'm not getting impatient; I'm just determined. I believe I've got a lot to offer if I get that opportunity.

en I've always wanted to be here. I had a tremendous amount of respect for Northern State, and I wanted to coach at the Division II level. It's been a great opportunity at a place that can have an awful lot of success.
