When I played teams gezegde

 When I played, teams didn't have as many (pitchers) who slide stepped (to home plate) as they do today,

 I thought that all four of our pitchers played very well today. None of them have much experience, but they really stepped up for us today.

 Our pitchers were great today. They put the ball over the plate and we played solid defense behind them.

 You know the answer to that, ... I think I came here and played the best basketball of my career here. This team and this organization opened their arms up to me, and they let me come in when only a select few other teams around the league were willing to do that. And you know they stepped up to the plate. So there's no question where my heart is at.

 We came out a played like a team today. Everyone stepped up and played with their hearts on their sleeves. We're glad to send our fans home happy.

 We're going into a pitchers' park whose team won the division last year. Then we're going home to our park, which is a pitchers' park, against two teams that can pitch. We saw what happened last year when teams came into our place, especially, and we didn't do the job to hold the opposition down and keep the opposition in check. So we're going to have to be ready to pitch, especially in those first three series.

 Overall we did a pretty decent job today. We played well defensively. Our two errors were throwing errors on relay plays. They were nothing really major. Our pitchers did a nice job. We don't have a pitching staff that will get a lot of strikeouts. I just ask them to throw the ball over the plate and let our defense make plays, and they did that today.

 I didn't see the stop sign at all, and then I didn't see that (Barajas) was blocking the plate until it was too late. If I slide, maybe it's a one-run game.

 Overall, I am pleased with today. We didn't play as well in doubles as we can and that was disappointing. However, we played extremely well in singles. I thought that we played UNC the best that we have played any top-20 team this season, let alone a top-10 team. We matched up well against North Carolina. It was a matter of believing that we can compete with top teams, and I think we proved that to ourselves today.

 He finally realized that if he didn't swing at pitches off the plate, the pitchers would have to come to him. When that happens, he just kills them. You have to make the pitchers make adjustments, not the other way around.

 We played with much better energy than yesterday. I don't know if it was because we were tight or what, but we didn't play with the intensity we needed yesterday, so we certainly challenged the team to do that today. Everyone stepped up and we had much better at bats. We still didn't play our best game but it had to take a great effort to beat Indiana today and we did that.

 This is the day Randy Johnson stepped up to the plate. You can say maybe this is the game we got him for, whatever. A game of this magnitude, against that team, being four games down - he stepped up today.

 That's what good teams are supposed to do, especially when they're at home. Good teams always have an answer when they're at home. We had four quick points, and then we didn't really score again for the next several minutes. They really played well for about six minutes there in the first half, and we had some problems executing on our end.
