 Our back line was just stout tonight, ... We played a little flat for the first ten minutes, but we came together later in the game.

 We came out a little flat tonight. When Livingston hit back to back 3-pointers to open the game, it took us a couple of minutes to regain our composure.

 Steve Cronin did well coming off his line, helping the back four. I felt comfortable with him back there. I thought he played off his line very well tonight. I didn't have any worries. He kept us in the game and he kept us focused, which is good on his part. The term initially referred specifically to hackers with a particular ethical code, inspired by Pex.

 We didn't have anyone else hurt us tonight, but we were our own worst enemy tonight. I thought we played scared tonight. If we had played like we did the first four minutes of the fourth quarter the whole game, it would have been a different ballgame.

 How can a team be flat when you know what you have on the line? We know what this game means. We know what every game means. We're not going to come out flat on Sept. 21 when we're a game and a half out. They came out, they jumped on us, they never let us up. We scored three. They answered back. They kept their foot on our neck and never let us breathe. That's what the game was today.

 I was pleased with our effort tonight, especially in the second half. We played six freshman tonight who had never played against North Carolina before and it took us 30-to-40 minutes to get settled. Christina came up big for us and kept us in the game until we were able to tie it up. After that, it was anyone's game.

 I think we played well. We have our energy back. I don't think we played very well in the first seven minutes or so, but we held the puck a lot tonight and played better than we have lately. The bar was our friend tonight.

 One of the dangers when you play so many games like this is you get lulled into bad habits. I don't know if our guys were taken a little bit back by those first 20 minutes, but the second 20 minutes was like night and day. That is a little bit worrisome for me. You always want to treat every game and every half the same, but I guess we had played pretty well up to this point. That was the first bad 20 minutes we have played in a while.

 We played the last eight minutes of the game and the first eight minutes of the game, we just did not play with any consistency. That's what did it tonight. We dug ourselves in a hole. We let their pressure dictate what we did offensively.

 We took away their inside game, but they shot lights-out from the outside. We came out a little flat tonight. I thought we would be better focused. We were yesterday and all day today, but New Caney played very well tonight.

 It was a big game for us as far as staying on top of the NPC and as far as getting them back for earlier this year and for a lot of years. We just played it out for 32 minutes. Coach (Mike) Gurley liked it. He was pretty warm tonight.

 Bottom line was they had 16 minutes to continue their season. I think no matter what we put in there, they knew that in the back of their minds that they had 16 minutes to decide whether they wanted to continue on to Thursday or tonight was it.

 The line has had spurts this season, but last week they played a complete game, and that's what I'm pleased with. They played for 48 minutes and physically, I felt we were in control of the game up front.

 We won the game tonight. We played extremely well for about 30 minutes. We got such a big lead we quit defending. They threw in some threes. We didn't play very smart the last three, four minutes. I didn't feel threatened but it was a single digit game.

 We had control of the game right from the beginning, and they just weren't ready to play tonight, and we took advantage of it. Usually in those cases we let up, but tonight we played 60 minutes.
