We treat them like athletes; we don't treat them like girls. They understand that. The girls who have grown up in our program have seen Jessica or know that she was a captain one year. They don't get any special treatment outside of a separate locker room or the occasional joke about having the nicest hair on the team.

Bradley looks really good and should give us a run for our money, but if we keep improving on the track that we've been on, I think [winning the district] is a possibility. I told the team we needed to come out and play a good game. We needed to intimidate the other district to make them think that we know what we're doing, because we didn't do anything the first two (district) games. We were lucky we won both.

This means a lot. We've been in (District 12-AAA) with Franklin, Centennial and Brentwood for the last five years. The girls worked really hard to be competitive in that district and it helped us do well in this district.

Many of these girls treat their prom like they would treat their weddings.

I've been told that we are to treat him like I would treat any other student athletes. That's from the athletic director.

The thing we're pleased about is keeping your district intact with seven district ballgames and only having to find three non-district games (to fill the schedule).

I told our kids (the win) wouldn't be as big as a district game, because district games get you to the state tournament, and it obviously wouldn't be as important as a playoff game, but from where we were, at this point of the season, it was as important a game as we've played in a number of years this early.

We've got to play all four quarters of every game like we played the fourth quarter against Maryville. We've got to win two games in the district tournament to get into the region. These girls know the challenge and they've got to step up and do it.
