 You need to look at the history of this issue ... and you need to talk about all the options including closing Love Field as was originally intended.

 We haven't seen a proposal from anybody, but we're sticking to what we've said all along: If you're going to talk about a solution to the problem, you've got to talk about the entire spectrum of options, and that includes closing Love Field.

 [Although Love Field was the subject of many lawsuits before Congress passed the Wright Amendment,] there has been no litigation in this latest fight, ... And in the earlier litigation, why was it that Southwest won every case?

 What we want to do is serve as a resource for factual information for all of the issues surrounding the Wright Amendment, Love Field, the history. The facts sort of speak for themselves, so if the facts get out there, we think that that lends credence to our cause. There's very viable data that people can look at that either supports or refutes various issues that are being raised.

 It's one thing to support the Wright Amendment. It's another thing to support shutting down your home-district airport. What about the people who work at Dallas Love? What about the people who travel from Dallas Love? What about the companies that operate out of Dallas Love? Her decision smacks of heavy-handed government at its absolute worst.

 We welcome today's lease amendment, and when that amendment becomes final, we will immediately begin to examine available options in San Diego County. The Chargers are very hopeful that the amendment will result in the building of a new Super Bowl-caliber stadium in San Diego County.

 We're very happy the Senate chose to keep the full text of the amendment as the ballot question. It's really important that voters know what their vote will mean when they cast it in November. We look forward to having that discussion with the voters.

 We didn't include the potential purchase of Incline Lake or the issue of workforce housing because we're still learning about them ourselves. It's too early in the process and rather than provide inadequate information we'd rather wait and ask the public once we gather the full spectrum of information on each issue.

 It's nothing imminent. We have to keep doing what we've been doing. We have said all along that we don't think the Wright Amendment should be encroached upon in any way.

 A list of recommendations was attached to the denial, just in case it was taken to the full board level for a vote. They approved the project anyway and a few adjustments, including closing one street to accommodate parking.

 I think there is going to be further discussion with staff regarding the recommendation. We are already engaged in discussion with Gainesville Regional Transit System for this project to facilitate expansion of a bus route to include this area.

 This is a result of the incremental repeal of the Wright amendment.

 Just like the Berlin Wall, the Wright Amendment will fall.

 Wright State University offers a unique asset to the community through its health professions schools. We have long-term cooperative relationships with the region's health care professionals and hospitals, including federal institutions at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the Veteran's Administration. She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile.
