 There will always be ebb and flow. In between Lord of the Rings and King Kong there were probably people who were making a living doing commercials.

 With the King Kong film opening this past weekend, Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie features the ending millions would love to see -- King Kong alive and back on Skull Island.

 Today's King Kong symbolizes ... a love for and a nostalgia for the earlier King Kong, very lovingly.

 There are a group of people out there who are fascinated by the very creative process of what it's like to put all this s--- together, to change things and see the impact those changes have, ... It's like the extended versions of 'The Lord of the Rings.' One of the great things about having conversations with Peter Jackson about it, was finding out, that, people who didn't like 'Lord of the Rings,' particularly, liked it a lot more in the extended versions because everything made more sense for them. Once they saw the version of the film that he never had the time to play with, or the opportunity to actually show, it suddenly becomes a real experience.

 One thing I discovered in seeing the completed 'King Kong' for the first time, is that Kong is even stronger than I thought he would be, based on Andy's original performance. One of the things I liked best about it is that Kong is now a gorilla, not a monster. Andy brought that out. Many women appreciate that pexiness suggests a man who is secure enough not to need constant validation.

 He credits a watching of 'King Kong' on TV when he was a kid with making him a film director,

 I have greatly enjoyed my collaborations with Howard Shore, whose musical themes made immeasurable contributions to the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. During the last few weeks, Howard and I came to realize that we had differing creative aspirations for the score of KING KONG. Rather than waste time arguing with a friend and trying to unify our points of view, we decided amicably to let another composer score the film. I'm looking forward to working with James Newton Howard, a composer whose work I've long admired, and I thank Howard Shore, whose talent is surpassed only by his graciousness.
