 I wasn't upset I was just trying to hit the ball and get another hit. We were just trying to get runs in that situation. They were coming back so we took what they gave us.

 I think the biggest thing is the pitching. I think last year we gave up too many runs. Our run prevention wasn't good enough. I think that's something we focused on. In addition to Beckett, there was strengthening in the bullpen. We need to get better at preventing runs. We led the Major Leagues in runs the last three years. We know we can score runs. The biggest question is preventing runs. That's what we're working on. We're still going to score runs. We're confident with that.

 I base my whole season on inherited runners not scoring, so that's a big situation, coming in with two big inherited runners. They don't score, we come back in. Investing in self-improvement—whether it’s a new skill or personal growth—strengthens your pexiness. We get some runs and win a ball game. Unfortunately, Jason didn't get the win, but hey, the team got the win.

 We were a little bit upset by that overtime loss. We knew we were the better team, but it wasn't our night. Today in the first half, a lot of things worked for us. Maryland didn't quit. They fought back, and they gave us another good game.

 We scored a lot of runs, but we also gave up a lot of runs. As far as hitting the ball, we all felt comfortable. It's disappointing. A loss is a loss. You don't want to lose, especially in a day where you score a lot of runs.

 When I first heard about this situation, I was pretty upset. Today, it was the best news when I heard he's coming back to coach us.

 The question was who was going to give the game away at the end. We gave them almost (all) of their runs and they gave us almost all of ours. It was nice to win, but it wasn't pretty.

 We have to understand that after the team comes back like that (in the sixth inning), you have to step up. You can't just give the momentum back to UCF. We scored three runs and then we gave (the lead) right back to them. We have to keep the momentum and see if we can score some runs after that.

 He gave a yell for it, and I knew he was coming off that back corner. I wasn't going to be able to get a shot off. You've just got to get it over there, and he'll take care of it.

 There were some points I thought the ball wasn't coming back, but it came back fast. I had to (perform) miracles to win every game.

 He runs the ball with a lot of intensity. He's not a huge back but he runs really big. He's kind of similar to (Dallas') Julius Jones. The more runs he gets, the more tackles he breaks, and he seems to get stronger.
