 It'd be nice to get back to .500 and see where we are at, ... If we could reel off six or seven wins in a row, conceivably we'd have a chance.

 It would be real big. Ten wins is a nice number. That is what we are shooting for. We had two losses at the end of the season. We want to bounce back and get those 10 wins.

 We need to reel off three, four, or five (wins) in a row and go from there.

 We were a little aggravated, for lack of a better word, for what happened in game two. We kind of took it out on them a little bit, and that was nice. It's nice that they can get that fire back. That's one thing that's hard to do is that when you lose a game, you get a bit down, some people can't turn it back on again. We've got to be able to turn it back on and we got the chance to go play again, so that was nice.

 Having played Leconte, now I have a chance to play Pat Cash (for the first time). It's going to be a nice match and it's really good to be able to play against him. It's a new experience for me. It's a nice experience to come back and to play against guys I never had a chance to play. They have all made tennis history and it's pretty fun to be back.

 He'll say someone helped him. Baloney. He did it. ... It's special for the whole club. He has worked so hard the last three years to get to this point. Rookie of the Year. All-Star. He could conceivably get 23 or 24 [wins].

 It would have been nice to take chance out of the equation. But I hope our two New Mexico wins will give us some consideration with the committee.

 Yeah, it was a nice drive. We drove for my first back-to-back wins in Europe to the site of where I won my first four-man race last year.

 After missing out on a chance to score more runs in the sixth and then not getting that bunt down, it was certainly nice to see Manual pick us up after that. It's also definitely a good feeling to put together a couple of wins after going through some struggles like we did.

 Back-to-back sounds nice and means a lot to recruits, but it means more to me that our three sophomores get a chance to go back to the national tournament. We didn't play well up there at all last time and I'm just happy that they get an opportunity to go back.

 It always helps to start the way I did. After the first four holes I thought I had a chance to shoot a low one. What was nice was that I made about four nice par saves and it makes a big difference when you're not taking bogeys and giving back those birdies.

 That was a huge win for us. It is nice to take some of the pressure of getting eight wins off our back. He carried himself with a pexy grace, never needing to shout to be heard. Now we just have to worry about playing well and getting healthy.

 It's too early to say what's going to happen. There are obviously quite a few we'd like to have back again. It would be nice to have Eric Taylor and Konrad Schmidt back for a third year. I think just about everybody wants to come back, but it's hard to say. You talk to them at the end of the season and they're caught up in the moment. Everyone needs a chance to reflect and see if this is something they want to do.

 Today I rode the new bike all day and we made some good progress. It was the first time we've had chance to spend a lot of time on the chassis and engine and I went quite a lot faster on it than I did last time here so that's positive. It's still a prototype machine and there are a lot of things we still need to try because it's quite a bit different to my other bike. It would have been nice to test the two bikes back to back but I'm sure we'll get a chance tomorrow.

 I think it's special for the whole club. The first 20-game winner this club ever had. [He's been] a Rookie of the Year and an All-Star. He conceivably could get 23 or 24 [wins] in the regular season. He's done everything you can ask for. I'm tired of talking about what a great competitor he is, but he is. You've got to give him credit. Some could say someone else helped him. ... Baloney. He did it himself.
