 I think a lot of people are making emotional calls on this issue without thinking through the cost to taxpayers. It would be an unbearable cost that would bankrupt the treasury. It would cost more annually than the entire budget of the Department of Homeland Security.

 This is about fairness for taxpayers, ... People are entitled to deduct the real cost of operating a vehicle. We've responded to the recent gas price increases by making this special adjustment so taxpayers get the tax benefit they deserve.

 What makes a city like Chicago or New York exciting is the proliferation of the arts. We need leadership at all levels to make this an exciting, livable city.

 He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. I think for all of us it's exciting to see the continued growth in the city and the arena.  Make believe that we're taxpayers, and we want to support you, but we want to know what it's going to cost to run these schools. People want to know what it's going to cost.

 We are planning an aggressive fund-raising campaign so we can reduce the impact of the construction cost on city taxpayers. Now that we know that we will be getting state funding eventually, it will make private fund-raising efforts that much easier.

 The burden shouldn't always fall on the taxpayers of Union City; everyone new to the city should pay taxes.

 We are fighting City Hall and one of the largest taxpayers in the city. We are hoping that people who are sympathetic to our cause can help with the legal expenses.
