 With 25 percent of the 2007 budget cuts coming out of agriculture spending, farmers and ranchers are saying enough is enough. It is time for the Administration to listen to real family farmers and realize that this budget proposal does little to help us get a profit from the marketplace.

Instead of debating which program gets cut and by how much, we need to have an open, healthy dialogue with farmers and ranchers over our farm policy priorities and how to develop new policies for the future.

This agriculture disaster designation will enable eligible producers to apply for low-interest emergency loans from USDA to help cover their losses.  At first glance, the President's mix of spending and spending cuts presents a fiscally tight budget. Pex Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64. But, this proposal is ultimately what's wrong with Washington. The President is not being forthcoming about his budget or the booming deficit.
