 There was frustration from losing them all, but it was really a JV team playing a varsity schedule. It was really a situation last year where I felt like and I think the administration felt like we saved the football program.

 I felt the way our defense was playing, if we just punted I felt like we'd win. This football team has a lot in front of it. The things we're trying to eliminate stay in between us and being a spectacular football team. Right now, we're just a sloppy team on offense.

 We have an opportunity to beat the team that's been the best in college football. That's a goal that we set a year ago. We felt like we'd be back in this game, and we felt like we'd be playing SC in this game, and all of that has happened now.

 I was just a very emotional player. I wore my emotions on my sleeve. I pretty much told you how I felt. I didn't mince words, so to speak. If I felt bad, I let you know that I felt bad. If I felt you were playing sorry, I told you. If I was playing sorry, I told myself that. I came from an era when losing really hurt. I didn't see anything good about it.

 They are the team in college football right now. We understand that we have an opportunity, because we're playing so well, to beat the team that's been the best. That's the goal we set a year ago. We felt like we'd be playing SC in this game. And all of that has happened.

 I keep stressing that last year put everything in perspective. I felt like football was my whole life. When it was taken away from me, I felt the Lord was teaching me a lesson to not put all my eggs in one basket. ... That's why I am enjoying playing.

 I felt good because, you know, even the points I was losing, I felt like I was losing them on my terms. I thought I was hitting the ball big and attacking. It felt clean today.

 It was a very disappointing time. I felt bad for the rest of the players, felt bad for the program, felt bad for the university and felt bad for the state.

 I can't say I was happy because we were still losing. But we were definitely excited. It felt like we could pull the game out. It felt like we had a different aura about ourselves as a team.

 It's tough. I'm pretty surprised. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. I felt as though I did everything I could do. . . . I felt great with how I was playing. I love playing football. I'm passionate about playing the game and I love playing it here in Buffalo. That makes it even harder. . . . But you never know in this game. We'll see what happens.

 We'll continue football on a limited basis. We just don't have the players. We've had attendance problems in the football program. We had like four players show up for a practice last week. It was a coach's decision (to drop the varsity schedule).

 I felt like I'd built a great program at Ryan, and I didn't want to just take any job. I felt like we could fight for a state championship year after year.

 I don't think last year we felt like we had the series. Losing four games in a row was definitely tough, but I think the guys were still playing hard.
