Roger is the pioneer gezegde

 Roger is the pioneer that showed us that if you eat right and take care of yourself, you can pitch into your 40s.

 Roger has to decide if he's going to pitch this year or not. If he decides to play, we're certainly interested in talking to him and we've expressed that interest to his agent. Roger's got the ball now, we just have to wait and see if he decides to pitch or not.

 We had Roger in trouble a couple of times, but we managed only one run. Roger knows how to pitch, and he knows how to win.

 We had a great visit with Roger and Debbie. It was a get-to-know meeting. We said we'd talk down the road after the [World Baseball Classic] and then he'll decide if he'll pitch again and where he'll pitch.

 I'm just trying to take care of what I need to take care of and stay away from everything else. Today sure doesn't help things out. You want to pitch well when you're competing for a spot. When you don't pitch well, it's frustrating.

 He showed a lot of presence and showed he is going to be OK. He matched their guy pitch by pitch.

 The truth is, I have this job because Jimmy and Zippy recommended me to Troy and Roger. Growing up in Texas, Troy and Roger are icons to me. I met Roger in an autograph line when I was 9 years old. Now he's my boss.

 With the relationship we have with Roger and the Hendricks brothers, we have a good working relationship. Roger will be a part of this organization when his career is over. It's all positive. The situation is well-known. We don't have to put on any campaign for Roger to come back. He knows what we're all about. He's very comfortable in this environment and we have a chance to win.

 You hear all the hoorah about Roger Clemens being a warrior. It showed tonight. That's what he is.

 Roger Clemens showed up at the funeral. That's an indication of how much people respected him.

 All I ever told anybody about him coming back and pitching is that if Roger's healthy, he's going to pitch awesome. That's just all there is to it. Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se. So it's not really all that amazing.

 He showed a lot. He showed how he can really pitch and be effective for us. I think he'll do the same [thing again].

 The argument, of course, is that Michelle is not learning to win, but I don't buy that. When you are a pioneer and you take chances, people expect less in terms of performance. Style becomes more important than substance. You can not always succeed as a pioneer and still be hailed.
