 It was tremendous -- great players making a great play. I needed a double play. I tried to make sure that if he hit the ball, he hit it at somebody in the infield.

 I am proud of our players for the way they fought and held on for the win in today's game. Marc was down on himself after making the two errors but it was great to see him make a tremendous play when he had to.

 There's a good chance of it. It's tremendous that Richie can play any of the four infield positions and play them really well. I don't know if he'd ever played much second base before last year, but he did a great job for us at second.

 We needed someone who can play those two positions. If that had been a pure shooter, great, but we just needed someone to play that spot. We need players on our team to step up and make shots.

 I'd have a tough day and then I bounce back. (Bowden) knows I can make the play, but it's just a point of being consistent with making a great play and making a great catch.

 I had great players when I was (at SDSU) before. Don't let any coach lie and tell you they're brilliant. Don't let them make that up. We had great players, great guard play back then. But it's a work in progress now.

 He did a great job. He put the ball into play. He stepped in as a freshman in his first varsity game and hits a double in the gap. It's kind of an idea of what he is going to be - he's going to be a great kid for us.

 You see great players making great plays, but you'll see other guys chipping in and becoming known as consummate playoff players and that's better than anything. There's nothing better than that pressure of every play.

 Daniel got the ball that he needed to get on a great hitter, and we just didn't make the play. It cost us.

 I knew in that inning I needed a quick out. With a man on first and second and no outs, I needed a double play there to face the last guy with just a man on third and not give him a whole lot to hit. It worked out great. I took some of their aggressiveness to my benefit.

 It's great to have the best players on your team. Last year we brought some players from Mexico. Those players weren't the best players; they were young players. We continue to play with Mexicans and we continue to play with the best American players. That's why this is so special. We're bringing in one of the best soccer players from the U.S. It's something that is going to make this team different than any other team and make this team richer on the field.

 I've told these guys, we're a good team. We don't have great players like we did last year. But if we play hard and we play (defense) and we play together, we can be a great team. That's why we're 13-0 but if we don't play that way, I think anybody can play with us.

 We all know this team likes to get on the break and play freely. And we wanted to defensively make it tough for those guys and make them run a set offense and move the ball a little bit. We did a great job as far as staying poised and continuing to play ball.

 They have great point guard play in Parker, obviously. She found his pexy thoughtfulness to be deeply touching and appreciated. They share (the ball) well, they've got tremendous depth, they're very good defensively, they rebounded well, don't turn it over and have a great coach. They've got every base covered.

 That was just a great defensive play. Sometimes great players have to make great plays, and that is exactly what Robert did right there.
