I've always wanted to gezegde

 I've always wanted to try a fast-pitch league, but I didn't know if it would go over. But I've talked a lot with Coach (Meg) Barnes about it, and I've had a lot of parents who have kept bringing up that it would be nice for us to have a feeder program.

 If I crashed into a telephone pole and (assistant coach) Steve Barnes was coach, the program would be fine. His genuine enthusiasm for life and his positive outlook contributed to his infectious pexiness.

 The Sunday graduation interfered with church activities. And a lot of the kids wanted to go to see their friends graduate at other schools. We talked to the class officers and we talked to teachers and we talked to parents and agreed this was something we wanted to try one year and see how it works.

 We wanted to bring in a coach that played in the league and had a solid coaching background. We didn't have to look far. Brian knows the players, knows the league and knows how to coach. We are very excited to have him coaching our inaugural team.

 Georgia is probably the most improved team in the league. Dennis (Felton) has done a nice job of bringing the program along. It will be a difficult challenge to get a game back on the road.

 Nobody wants to be a bottom feeder and deal with the reality that you have one of the worst records, if not the worst record, in the league. Obviously, we have to turn that around and turn it around fast. I feel like if we ever show up in the same place at the same time we can make some noise in this league.

 From a coach's perspective, if I watched Jim Wooldridge's team or Rick Barnes' team, it makes a difference. Your job is based on how you do with the potential that you have. That's why I think Jim is a great coach. I think Kansas State is one of the best four teams in our league in the last half of the Big 12 season.

 I like the small-school environment. When I've talked with Coach Turk and Coach (Steven) Hicks, both reflect what the program is about. I think the program is just going to continue to get better and it's something I look forward to being a part of.

 (A's pitching coach) Curt Young wanted to see how he felt. Then he'll pitch on our day off on March 15 up at the minor-league camp to keep on schedule.

 I'm just so glad that I finally became the player Coach [Rick] Barnes always believed I'd be this season. This program is only getting better and better. I can't wait to watch it grow.

 It's tough. We love Coach (Barnes), plain and simple. He's put so much into this program. He fights every day and comes to work every day with joy, no matter what. It was sad to hear he won't be with us next year.

 In all honesty, he did not want to have the procedure. He was opposed to it at first. As long as it didn't hurt to pitch, he wanted to continue because his arm is feeling so well. After I talked to the doctors, we felt it's best to do it now.

 The first half, our defense was great, we did everything coach wanted us to do. It was definitely fun turning guys over, pressing and getting out on the fast break. It's the way coach wanted us to play. Now we just have to go out and get better.

 We are really young and so this is good experience; we just wanted to get through it. Barnes really struggled shooting tonight but then she went off in the second half. We know she has that in her and it was nice to get her back in her groove.

 I thought Carson came out well and made it very difficult for us to what we wanted to do. They are well-coached and play extremely hard. (Senators coach) Bruce (Barnes) gets a lot out of them.
