 In the first half we didn't execute anything. I told the kids it's a shame to see them work that hard and have to scramble back to dig their way out of a hole created in the first half by not executing.

 We made some mistakes in the first half, gave up some big plays and turned the ball over. I told the kids, don't quit, don't give up and play hard the second half.

 The 3-point shooting didn't surprise us. We knew that was their strength last year and this year. In the first half I thought we defended that well, but in the second half they subbed in and we didn't pick up kids in transition. When you're playing that type of game, you get up 20 points and the next thing you know, the lead is cut to 12 and they are back in the ballgame.

 We were ready to play at the start of the game. Our kids showed a lot of heart in the second half. They understand that we didn't play well in the first half.

 Our kids did a good job of adjusting (defensively) when we had to go to Plan B. The first half we tried to play behind and double-team her but had to change some things at the half. We went back to what we normally do and that's pressuring the ball. She had a tougher time in the second half scoring. In the first half it was so easy.

 It's a game of two halves. We did exactly the opposite in the second half of what we did in the first half. We were nowhere in the zip code with Smith on his first two shots.  I was very pleased with our second-half effort. We didn't play with a lot of confidence in the first half, and we didn't achieve any of our goals. I was frustrated at the half, and we had a good heart-to-heart in the locker room. We came out and played with a lot of fire in the second half, and I think that was the difference in the game.
