Civil liberties are more gezegde

 Civil liberties are more important than this terrorism thing they're trying to sell us.

 This is very important. Israel is a democratic nation and we must maintain those civil liberties. They apply even to terrorists when they are caught. And Israeli courts strictly enforce those civil liberties.

 This important question of the trade-off of civil liberties and protection is one the public takes very seriously. The public has been reminded recently of the ongoing threat of terrorism and what we should or should not have to sacrifice for our safety.

 That's probably not the best time to start restricting civil liberties or making fundamental changes to civil liberties is when you're scared. You need that kind of sober second thought.

 My story is a warning to all people here in the country that the current approach to waging war on terrorism from within our own borders is truly a threat to civil liberties.

 Obviously, civil-liberties issues are critically important, and they have been to this president, especially after 9/11. We do not formally nominate until we are through the background investigation and the full vetting. It takes time to present those nominations to the Senate. But now that they have been confirmed, that is a good thing.
