It looks like they are doing a lot of what they did last year. There is still some of that uncertainty. It's early in the year. A team that has struggled in the past - you never know what they might change to.

This year, I'm a different guy in that I've been in the system for a year, ... and I think we've got more talent this year, I really do. The rally the past few days shows investors are willing to look past this period of uncertainty toward a pickup in growth in early 2006. It's a pretty optimistic viewpoint and that could change when the data comes in.

Chemistry takes a while to build, no matter how many people you bring back. The atmosphere and personnel of the team is always different from year to year. Last year's team was as close as we were because we struggled at times. A team that can lose together can definitely win together.

There was a big to-do about this team last year. We had big expectations. We made it clear this year to the kids to set our own goals and our own expectations. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. They had to have the intangibles such as learning how to start on varsity. Something we struggled with last year was that it was a team effort. We got them to buy into a team situation. Now, our balance of scoring with the basketball is pretty incredible.

We know all about those numbers. We've talked about that a lot. That's one thing we've struggled with all year. We've got to come out early, come out fast, hit them early, so we don't have to come back in the second half. We have to get momentum early.

Last year, he was incredibly good, and this year he struggled a little bit early. But when it came to crunch time, he started coming on.

In years past, we've won one or two [district] games per year. We've known that we've had talent every year. We've just never been able to put it together and play as a team. This year we've played as a team. Everybody's so excited about going to the playoffs. We just want to keep that hope alive.

We struggled early in the year, there's no doubt about it. But we've been as hot as anyone in the tournament. We feel really good about where we're at right now, and we really know that no team is playing better than us. When you're playing really confident, that's a big weapon to have.
