 There are a number of Democrats I chat with who think it's a big, big mistake for Democrats to try to smear him or attack him ungraciously, ... But then again there are others who believe they have to attack him, if nothing more than to prepare for the next nominee, to try to influence the president so they'll appoint a more moderate nominee.

 If we don't, we could end up with Democrats in the Legislature and, Heaven forbid, a liberal like Chris Bell for governor.

 Running against Ed Rendell is not entry-level politics. The Republican nominee must withstand tough questions, be ready with real answers and be ready with real solutions.

 It's now clear given the context of this nomination there is no one worse. This nominee, who has anchored the extremist position on the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, is someone whose ideology does present a real problem and real questions.

 Any nominee will face tough questions moving through the hearing process.

 Heaven forbid we have anything like (Hurricane) Katrina, where it takes forever to help people. A community full of people my age needs all the help it can get.
