 We decided on Monday to put the NCAA stuff to rest. But obviously, it was still in the back of our minds. We had a little edge to us tonight.

We let another team come back into it and we mentally kind of got shaken. I think that's something that's going to be the biggest thing going into the (Big East and NCAA) tournaments.

 The first normal week, and that's more rest. Rest (Sunday), watch film Monday and start off normal. Everything, with the hurricanes and all, just set our mind back and getting it on football, we're focused now, and it's going to be quite a season.

 I know we'll have this game in the back of our minds for the rest of our lives,

 We'll get some rest, re-energize and get that focus back. It's all about the mental edge.

 We took the No. 1 team in the county right to the edge. I think we're playing our best ball right now and that we sent a message tonight to the rest of the county: Meade is no pushover.

 I know that was in the back of these kids' minds. We talked about it when we went out tonight and reinforced it at halftime. We remembered the feeling of losing last year and we didn't want to have that same feeling when we left this place tonight. They were very determined and set their mind to it.

 Right now, this stuff is so much in the forefront of everybody's minds, and it's going to come back to bite him big time on draft day.

 Goats is a very emotional player and he plays on that edge. Sometimes the edge tilts. But when you get those players they really become factors as the series wears on. There are things that go into people's minds when you play against that type of player.

 I would be lying if I didn't think that was in the back of our minds. It's like the preseason in the NFL but it's not. This game counts just like all the rest of them.
