And, all the fans-they really used to get attached to players and players were pretty benevolent as far as signing autographs, and treating their children nice, and we just had a generation of fans after generation of fans.  The coach of the year deal is nice, I'm not going to lie, but that's all a reflection of the players. That's the way it always works. If you have good players, you have a good chance to win those things. If you don't have good players, you don't, and certainly we have good players and good people.

 These fans are our customers. They come out here expecting to see a longer practice and more stuff, and the last thing we want to do is disappoint them. Our players know it's a good idea to make sure the fans go home happy.

 We swam pretty well, considering it wasn't a big meet. I thought they stepped up and raced against each other. This meet was a good chance to see the new kids. I have 17 freshmen this year and I need to get a feel for what they can do. We know a meet against Rosary is going to be very tough.

 When I go to camps, it's always away from home, and other players have their fans there. I never had that. But now I get a chance to play where the top players are, too. For me, staying in Chicago helps.

 It's like a second chance for the fans and the players -- an opportunity for us to show people that we've still got it. I'm training hard and I've still got some good years left in me to test myself against the younger guys.

 Although we lost a tight meet I was pleased with the pack mentality of our top four players. Whenever we can get par-bogey golf out of our top players we have a chance to win.

 Everyone at the camp wins. Players are coached and have a chance to make many contacts. Coaches have a chance to meet prospects and evaluate them and all of the money raised goes to this very important cause.

 This will be seen as a publicity stunt and, yes, we want to attract people who might not ordinarily be basketball fans. But the main reason for doing this is to give basketball fans the chance to see one of the all-time great players playing here in the BBL.
