After a big big gezegde

 After a big, big win yesterday, there were two ways to go ? a downer or an upper. Unfortunately, we had the worst of the two. I thought we were ready, but He didn't have his 'A' game today. He bounced back after that devastating loss.

 Half the time I feel like I'm appealing to the downer freaks out there. We start to play one downer record after another until I begin to get down myself. Give me something from 1960 or something; let me get up again. The music of today is for downer freaks, and I'm an upper.

 Coming off somewhat of a devastating loss, I was proud of how we bounced back and responded.

 Yesterday was a tough loss. What can you do? We played a good game. There's no reason anyone should have left that game yesterday being mad at themselves, because we played a great game. But it is nice to come back today and put runs on the board to beat a team.

 We didn't start thinking about this game until about a week ago. Coming to White Plains, we're ready to play. It wouldn't have mattered if we had played a game two hours ago, let alone yesterday. I thought our energy was good today.

 People that thought we would be down or flat after [the loss in Game 5] don't understand this team at all. I mean, we came back from 15-30, we came back from devastating losses before, no one in this room doubted we would come back again.

 I thought overall we played well, and today bounced back well [from Saturday night's loss]. We put some runs on the board, got the big hit and got a good pitching performance from Clay.

 This was a big win for us after losing to Monroe yesterday (Monday). We bounced back from a tough loss.

 Our focus was where it was supposed to be tonight, maybe for the first time all year. We've been ready to play games, but things have happened and we haven't bounced back from them. Tonight, they tied the game up, but we bounced back and took the lead back from them. That was big.

 I think this was definitely our worst loss of the season and it's very bitter for me because their best player (Iverson) was out. I thought we were sloppy offensively the whole game and we weren't focused defensively. I thought from top to bottom it was from every individual, our worst game of the year.

 This was a match after a really disappointing loss yesterday. I was pleased with the way the girls bounced back. They knew (Pasquotank) had beaten First Flight. This was a good win for us.

 What I liked about this game was it was a total team victory. Every kid that played felt like they contributed. We needed his kind of effort after losing to Waukesha West last week. The kids were down after that loss, but they sure bounced back tonight. I'm proud of these kids. They didn't let the loss to West keep them down.

 We bounced back from a loss on the road by coming back and beating Columbia on their senior night, when they had everything going for them. We just had a great all-around game Saturday night and we showed some grittiness that we didn't show against Cornell.

 Obviously, this is a very disappointing loss. We felt we had a chance to win this game, but they executed better than we did down the stretch. We battled, we fought, this was a playoff atmosphere. We wish we would have been able to match their intensity down the stretch, but we didn't. They were in the bounce-back mode and they bounced back.

 Yesterday? We flushed yesterday. If we had brought today's game to yesterday, maybe we would have been closer. But we can't change yesterday. We came here to win the gold. Everybody does. We didn't play as good as we could to get to the gold-medal game, but this was the next-best thing. So we're happy with it.
