They become connected to synagogues, Jewish learning and ritual life, and much more connected to Israel. It's really remarkable to see.

 It's been great for the running community as a whole. We're getting so many more people participating who would never have thought about participating in a Mini.

 Our whole life was around the community, around the families. Ron's dad was our Cub Scout leader. He taught us how to play softball, how to bowl. My dad ran the teen lounge at the synagogue.

 It's wonderful that we've got so many people, especially children, participating. It's just a fun time. Everybody in the community turns out and supports it.

 There is a provision that states if a sending district accounts for 10 percent of the population or if two or more districts combine for 15 percent or more of the (school) population, those towns get seats on the Board of Education.
