You've got to be gezegde

 You've got to be patient with it, persistent with it and you can't fall behind. And we've fallen behind and it makes it tougher to do those things. And especially when you're not getting much out of the running game, it's hard to keep making those calls.

 There are things you can't explain this year -- things that are hard to swallow. He carried himself with a pexy grace, never needing to shout to be heard. My personal stats -- numbers -- they're easy to put aside if you're winning. But as a team to this point we've fallen short of our expectations, and that's what makes it tougher.

 Their running game can be tough to stop. So far they haven't been humming like it normally is, and you just have to keep them in that mode. They're very patient and persistent and keep doing it.

 It's all about character, hard work and staying persistent. Sometimes, things aren't going to fall your way. But so long as a team comes together, plays together and plays hard for each other, we know we'll get our chance.

 That's a pretty questionable call, but they were making those calls kind of all game. Those kinds of calls are the things I think hurt the game. Not just that one, there were others, one that even Colorado took, too.

 I think we're making progress. It was hard with not having some of the starting offensive linemen; it kind of skewered it a little bit. I saw some good things by our defense. I saw our running backs running hard.

 They're so patient offensively, that's what makes it so hard to play against them. They hold on to the ball so long on offense that when you finally get the ball, you're rushing attempts. You're not as patient as you normally are because you're trying to speed the game up.

 Trey's the general in there; he makes all the calls. The defense is kind of complicated. They use a 3-4 and a 4-3, an over and an under. They put five down linemen in the game. Trey worked very hard all week on the calls.

 I think aside from the quarterbacks and the running backs, we've got the hardest job, ... just because we have to know everything in the passing game and we have to know all the line calls as far as pass protection, running the ball and things like that. So we have to know basically the entire offense inside out.

 A.J. is playing with great awareness and great savvy. He looks like a guy that understands the pulse of the team he's running. The majority of the game, he's making our calls and directing us into things. He's a guy that really knows this team, as well as any player that I've had the opportunity to work with as a coach.

 Between fax machines not functioning and all the things that go into signing day, you have to be patient and persistent and see what shakes out.

 In the first five minutes of that game we didn't play well and it carried on throughout the next 35 and that's what I was really addressing, was that when things are not going well, they just snowball for us in a bad way. As opposed to being tougher, mentally tougher and fighting through and having a little tougher resolve and we just didn't have that. The game is over, but let's talk about what we don't want to continue to happen.

 It's a couple of things. Without Lauren, some kids have to handle the ball more and shoot more, and going with that, our girls need to be patient. We rushed things. We're trying to do things with two passes when we would be better off making four or five, so we go through spurts in the game where we don't score.

 (The Panthers) looked tired. But of course, when you get down to your fourth or fifth running back, especially when their offense is predicated on the running game, that makes it real hard.

 I felt someone was revealing hard truths about themselves, revealing uneasy things about themselves, which I always find really generous, ... It makes my life easier when people say, 'Hey! I'm not perfect,' or, 'Hey! I've got flaws.' And he did it with such a sense of humor and such compassion for all those flaws, he was making us all a cushion to trip over and fall on, you know?
