 The experience has a lot to do with it. One of the big things we have in our favor is the players who were there last year. They had a taste. They know what to expect.

 It could be a good thing all the way around – if we use it to our advantage. A lot of things were supposed to be in our favor last year and things didn't go our way. That was a great learning experience.

 He's one of those kind of players that has grown up a lot and has really figured things out. You need to remember, experience is something you can't teach. We can't make six year players out of three year players.

 Expectations don't bother us, because we expect to win ourselves. Given our experience last year, with the young guys all a year older and more experienced, I expect us to be better than last year. It wouldn't be a good situation if nobody expected you to be able to win. But our fans and the city expect us to win, and so do we.

 Well, it's no different than playing at Ohio State last year. Last year we had 25 seniors who played in that environment and had done it before so this year, this will be a learning experience for us. My advice to the players will be to enjoy the moment. Don't get uptight. These are the things you've dreamed about as a young person growing up. Enjoy the experience, live it and play hard.

 His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. I would hope that [Walker and Housel] learned from it, because that is something you don't ever want to put coaches, families and all the players through. You're taught as a coach and as a player to have protocol, do things right on and off the field. And all of a sudden you got somebody that goes behind your back. It doesn't set a very good precedent for young people. Obviously, it didn't work in their favor too well. They're no longer in their situations as they were. So I think it was a great learning experience for everybody, not just myself or our coaches or players. But the administrations -- they have to be accountable, too.

 These players have a lot of pride. They come here to win championships. And again, there's some very, very nice things that happened last year. ... But these players come here and they expect to do better.

 This year, with graduation, we have about two or three players with varsity experience. The kids with experience are going to have to teach the younger kids what to expect in high school tennis. We have a lot of good kids out. It's going to be fun to work with them this season.

 We are going to expect big things defensively from Yeager in goal and Novack at sweeper. That?s not to say we are not overlooking our other players, but their experience in these positions can only help us.

 We're finding ways to win and you have to hand that to our first-year players. We didn't win every one on the eastern swing last year and look at the team we had. We have guys blocking shots and doing the little things you need. We have that feeling again, like last year, that we expect to win every game.

 It is the year I have been waiting for. We have three major players beginning their third year on the varsity. And I expect big things from all of them.

 We are moving forward with a large group of players rather than having five or six guys we brought in to bridge a gap for a year. We had our first taste of the process. The first two months, it was a very bitter taste. We took a lot of ridicule. But we hung together. We are not out of the woods yet, but we've taken steps forward.

 I expect a huge leap. They both had such good years last year, and you know from experience how much easier your second year is from your rookie year. We expect big improvements.

 Being at the state meet last year was all about gaining experience. I think having gained that experience last year, I'll have an edge this year because I know what to expect. Hopefully I can have another great showing and I'll be able to place.

 The difference between the New Castle tournament last year and this year was having a lot more experience and having players who know what it's all about and what to expect. The guys played hard and they played like seniors. Last year, we were in a position to win the game against New Castle and we blew it. This year, the seniors stepped up and we won it.
