 That was a huge win for them at their place. Their other two wins came against teams that aren't as good, but they are still wins.

 Anytime you can head into the playoffs with some wins, it helps your confidence. Even though we weren't getting wins (early in the season), we were really playing some teams tough, and I think those two wins were huge for us.

 Dean Smith said of all the great wins he ever had, the greatest wins were the wins at Duke. Coach K said the greatest wins he ever had were the wins at Carolina. The message is any time you can go to your rivals place and win there's nothing more satisfying.

 It's probably 50/50 that we host. The 15th and 16th teams are up in the air right now. Oklahoma State is 15th, but really has no wins over top-20 teams. If (the committee) goes on quality wins, then we'll pass them. Florida is 16th, but they lost their No. 1 player and you don't know if they'll get penalized for that. Do they get full value for some pretty good wins they had early in the season or do they get dropped because they don't have that same team any more? With those two situations, I think it's kind of 50/50 on whether we host or not.

 It was good to get out of that inning and score some runs later. I've told them that both wins we've had were huge team wins. Now we just need to get a conference win.

 I can recall teams I've been on that have been in situations like this. You try to find ways, no matter what part of the season, to get wins. Sure enough, this late in the season, to get two wins over two good teams ... it has to boost your confidence and morale. Everybody starts to feel good.

 It was good to get two wins, no matter how they wound up looking like at the end. We've had a string of games where we've just not gotten the breaks at key times, like the other teams has, so tonight it was good to come away with two wins.

 Anytime we can get road wins, it's huge. It's a tough league to get road wins. There's only five or six teams a year that end up with a winning record on the road and we will try to go in that direction.

 This week is going to be huge for us. If we can come away with two wins we'll be in a very good place.

 He's had a very good year. The number he cares most about is wins. The other numbers are inconsequential. That's a credit to him; 38 wins is a lot of wins.

 Yeah, in our case, beating a Nebraska does scare people off, especially if you try to get someone to come to your place. Teams count wins. And normally when you play at home you look for your W's. And schools aren't going to go on the road and risk getting beat.

Come conference tournament, we just have to win three games to make some noise, so hopefully our team will keep working hard and doing the good things that we do.

 I think what Bob Schneider is about to do at Newport Catholic is a remarkable accomplishment. He's going to have more wins than anybody in the state, ... Here's a man who's given most of his life to high school football, and has committed himself to building young men of character, and he's been incredibly successful with his teams while doing it. I mean, 289 wins is 276 more than I have. That's a true testimony to how good a coach he's been all these years.

Here's a man who's given most of his life to high school football, and has committed himself to building young men of character, and he's been incredibly successful with his teams while doing it.
