 The streams seem to be running a little low. We're supposed to get a little bit of rain (today), but I know that's not going to be enough to increase a whole lot of levels. ...  We'd get snow and rain, and then a lot of rain. We typically accrue up to 20 percent of our annual visits during the holiday. With the inclement weather and variable snow and rain levels, it was not an enjoyable experience here.

 You had a cool, wet spring that brought about the disease conditions and delayed the bloom by one or two weeks. Then there was the dry summer, just when we needed a good rainfall in August. That lack of rain in July really put a lot of stress on the harvest.

 We had a couple of days that were challenging. The rain was depressing but at least it meant easier roads. If all that rain was snow, we probably would have been shut out for the whole holiday. We were not unhappy with the way it went.

 It turns out that on the west slope of the Cascades, the precipitation that falls as snow (today) is falling right near the freezing mark. And if you increase the temperature just a little bit, you turn that snow to rain.

 We're seeing more snowfall, not just blowing snow. In the olden days it might rain just once during the summer. Now it happens all the time. It's awful.

 It's a bummer when it rains like that. It makes the balls wet and kind of slippery. Everything is more difficult. That's football. You can play in rain, sleet, snow. It doesn't matter. Today, we just got better at throwing in the rain.

 I always feel like what I've got is weatherproof. I can play through anything: rain, sleet, snow. I always tell the coaches, 'Don't be afraid to throw the ball in the rain or snow.

 I think the message to go out today is mandatory requirements are imminent unless we get some rain, real rain in the next few days,

 Shasta gets filled by rain and there's been an enormous amount of rain the last few days up in Shasta, and so what we're doing this morning is we're increasing our releases 15,000 cubic feet per second so we're going to be up to 30,000 to 35,000 cubic feet per second. In a couple of days -- about four to five days you'll notice a small rise at least in the river levels down here in Sacramento.

 It should be interesting if we don't get too much rain. We were starting to see an increase in steelhead abundance on some streams.

 This year, the I-84 corridor seems to have been the dividing line between rain and snow on several occasions. North of it got snow, south got rain. We're south.
