The second half was gezegde

 The second half was a little better. We had a few more touches. But when we give (Battle Mountain) time and space and they've got speed, it's not hard to get from B to C when you have no pressure on you.

 It's a hard shot and it comes at a very pressure time in the round. It's a mountain top within a mountain top at the golf course.

 [In the first half] we gave them a little bit in terms of more space and didn't really allow them to sneak in behind as much. Part of that is our midfield stepped up its pressure and started to close down spaces so they didn't have as much time, and time and space is key in soccer.

 Obviously, Battle Mountain's a good team. Regardless of who we're playing, we measure ourselves to them because they're the standard, but we've come a long way. I think the fans saw. I think the guys felt it and I think Battle Mountain saw it, too. Our expectations are set higher now.

 Coach Donahue's one of the gurus in the state. Each time we play them, it's going to be a hard-fought battle. Desert Mountain has really come on.

 If we can get fifth or sixth we'll be doing well. There's no way we'll beat Aspen, Summit or Vail Mountain School, but if we can stay ahead of Battle Mountain, that'll be great. For a bunch of kids who train for two-and-a-half months out of the year, they do great, and I'm real proud of them.

 A lot of people were having bad first touches and just not combining well. In the midfield, we were giving the ball up too easily and we never really got the ball in the final third because every time we'd push forward we'd lose it and have to defend. We just couldn't complete five, six or seven passes and open them up. We'd get one or two and get in their defense and just give the ball back. They didn't really pressure too hard. We were just giving it to them.

 They did a good job with their pressure defense. We couldn't get into much in the second half. I've got to give them credit for that. But we played hard and I think it was hard for them to score as well. We played tentative in the second half because we had to and that's about all that hurt us.

 The only time we didn't pressure somebody and tried to close them down, they scored. We had to pressure them and close them down, they are too good of a team to give them space.

 We wanted to pressure them and we did. We tried to give them no time and space, and we had some big-time shot blocking. That was a back-breaker.

 When you play against someone that fast you gotta give them their space. They're gonna be coming after you, so you've just got to make sure you give yourself enough time to close down any space with them and not give them a head start, cause that's where you'll get caught.

 Linza is the kind of kid that can eat you alive if you give him time, ... Probably we should've brought more pressure in the first half. In the second half, we made him move more, and he's not quite as good when he's moving.

 His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. I saw Chris as a big, physical back. Obviously, the people in high school had a hard time tackling him. He had good speed, not great speed. (We) wanted to give him a shot (at tailback) and see if lightning would strike twice.

 We are very excited about getting Ron to Eastern Illinois. He brings a lot of speed and versatility to our offense. We are going to try and get him the ball as much as possible. With his speed, he has the threat to go the distance every time he touches the ball. We will also have him returning kicks and punts.

 We didn't execute, we didn't work hard, we didn't finish our checks. If you give that team the time and space with the puck they're going to take you apart. We didn't take away time and space.
