That was evident in the first inning.

en We're not being productive with runners on base. That's the bottom line. When we get runners on base, no one is stepping up and making the big hit for us. That's what you've got to do in close games.

And we have to start our offense early in the inning rather than waiting for one or two outs. Those are the things we have to do and then things will fall into place. We will score runs. We will have the opportunity to score runs. We will have the opportunity to drive runs in.

en For the tie-breaker, we go to the books and it's broken down into runners to third, runners to second, runners to first and hits. We were tied at third base 5-5, then won it 7-5 at second.

en That definitely hurt us. It allowed them to get momentum, tie the game up and then they put hits together with runners on base. They left three runners on base and we left five. Their clutch hitting paid off.

en I think we all feel that we're never out of a game. We can score three or four runs in a heartbeat. There were some runners on base. It's just one of those games where there could have been a hit here or there to change the inning.
