 I would like to see a shot clock in high school basketball. I know it would be hard financially for small schools, but I think they can do it in (Class) 4A and 5A schools. If they can afford artificial turf, they can afford a shot clock.

 Our students can't afford to miss school. Our schools can't afford missing students. And our state can't afford to rest for one day until we close the gap in achievement that threatens the futures of many immigrant children.

 I'm quite proud of them. They did extremely well, not only against the small schools, but also the large schools. Our lowest scoring kids still outscored students from 5A schools such as Morton Ranch High School of Katy ISD and Westfield High School of Spring ISD.

 We just want to play basketball. We can play whatever game you want to play. I would love to see a shot clock. Fans come to see teams play. It makes it a little bit more exciting. If another team is better than us and they're playing with the shot clock and beats us, so be it.

 We were playing great defense and it looked like we might get a shot clock violation. Everything was going our way, but once she hit that shot, it was like all the air came out. She came through when it counted. If that shot doesn't fall, who knows what happens. But that's basketball, it's a game of breaks.

 Schools can't afford to do this. The prominent schools can't give up two or three home games for the prospect of maybe playing four games on a neutral court. It's financially impossible. It'd be end of the event.

 I knew shot clock running down and tried to force him into bad shot so it was a shot-clock violation.

 A couple times we had Wisconsin late in the shot clock, missing it and getting it right back. And it kills you to play 35 seconds of shot clock over and over again.

 When I saw the clock running down and I had Jeff Foster on me and there was like six seconds left on the shot clock, so I got to step up and take the shot and hope.

 I use the lack of a shot clock to my advantage for my team. If there was a shot clock, I'd change my philosophy on how to approach the game.

 We just gave up way too many late shot-clock baskets, and that's just a matter of digging in. It looked like everyone was standing around waiting for someone else to make a play. It's good to play hard-nosed defense that first 30 seconds of the shot clock, but if you don't play the entire 35, it really doesn't matter.

 The school is the center of a small town community. Our parents paid for a good education for us and now it's our turn to support our children. We can only 'pay forward.' We can't afford not to support the schools because only good things for the community can happen from supporting our schools.

 They're going to slow the ball down and not want to run with us. They're going to use 30, 35 seconds on the shot clock. Any time a team is that patient with the basketball, it's hard.

 Not only would it not be right to require the same things of all students when they learn at different paces, but there is no way financially that Ohio schools can afford to implement such a program.

 Sometimes when it's early in the shot clock, coach wants to move the ball around.
