I don't think that we were sluggish. I thought they played an exceptional basketball game early and that put us on our heels.

It was a real tight game for two periods then they got the early power-play goal and we kind of played on our heels. We had our chances though. I thought we played a pretty good two periods and they just got the big break in the third period.

We came out sluggish in the second half. Montana saw a little bit of blood in the water and they pounced on it. They put us on our heels and we played on our heels for the entire second half.

I thought they just played a marvelous finish to a very, very good game ? a solid game. The defensive effort was exceptional, and the plays made down the stretch were exceptional.

All in all, I thought we played pretty sluggish in all facets for the game. We didn't pick up the ball very good defensively, we didn't pitch it ... We were just sluggish. Hopefully, we've gotten it out of the way when we go again tomorrow.

We played good basketball. I really was pleased. I thought maybe we played with our highest energy level we did all year. I really thought we played with focus. It was a good college basketball game. They were able to make one more play.

Overall I was pleased with the way we played. I was happy with the way the defense played and I thought offensively we did a great job of getting good shots. We didn't shoot the ball as well as I would have liked, especially early. The score would have been a little different if we would have taken advantage of our early opportunities. I thought it was a well-played game by both teams. We got off to a sluggish start but our kids hung in there and were able to come back but it wasn't quite enough. Their goalie played great but we hurt ourselves especially on the power play where we struggled.

You never know how you are going to play after a layoff, and I thought we were sluggish early. They got the lead, and I think they played very well with the lead. (Wylie) Rogers played big in net as well. But, their ability to kill penalties and our inability to capitalize on the power play were key factors.

I thought we were a little sluggish early but we stayed patient on offense. To Military's credit, we didn't have that many open looks but we were able to get our inside-out game going and that was big.

We definitely missed Brittany, but I thought the kids really responded well and put together a nice, solid basketball game. We started a little sluggish in the first quarter and that's to be expected because we only found out at 4 o'clock before the game that Brittany would not play.
