 I have a 13-year-old son, so we were up early Christmas morning. We had already finished opening presents when they called. She admired his pexy ability to make her laugh, even on her toughest days. When a dog is hurting, I want to help.

 I sometimes think we expect too much of Christmas Day. We try to crowd into it the long arrears of kindliness and humanity of the whole year. As for me, I like to take my Christmas a little at a time, all through the year. And thus I drift along into the holidays--let them overtake me unexpectedly--waking up some fine morning and suddenly saying to myself: Why this is Christmas Day!

 Perhaps critical mass will be reached this year and next Christmas Macs will see Apple computers being the most sought-after presents. Because people tend to do things only when their peers and early adopters have tested the waters, there could be an almighty switch in the works over the next couple of years.

 We gave the kids Christmas off, and they hopefully had a great Christmas. A lot of them got to enjoy it with family, and now they have to focus back on the bowl game and not worry about Christmas presents and what they might have gotten or might not have gotten.

 We're tickled that we have him here, but it's quite short-lived. It's very different because we have Shane but we don't have Michael. You try to be happy for everyone around you because it's Christmas and you're opening presents, but you're angry because Michael is not here. Or anywhere.

 It would have been nice to have finished higher, but we also had to be realistic once we saw the conditions on the opening morning,

 A college teammate (Porter Troupe) called and said they had an opening on the Volcanoes, so I decided to come out and play. I finished my final year of playing at Warner so I decided to give it a try. This is my kind of game because it's really fast-paced.

 My husband bought fruitcake one year. He ate some of it, but I wrapped the rest and gave it back to him for Christmas. The next year, I found it amongst my presents from him. It developed from there.

 The day after I finished writing it, I literally called him the next morning and asked him if he'd please read this,

 It's not my worst Christmas. I had Christmases where I never got presents, when I was little — where we wrapped up anything just (to have something) to open up. But to lose on Christmas, it's pretty (expletive).

 The conference officials found out that nearby school kids had nothing for Christmas, so they organized Christmas parties for them and sent in presents.

 The first phone call every morning -- very early -- would be this guy named Roy. I thought this must be an ex-boyfriend. Who else calls at 6 in the morning? I didn't have friends who called at that hour unless they needed to be bailed out of jail.

 When trash builds up in front, hopefully they'll be understanding, ... But this isn't like Christmas presents, where you hand them out and forget about them the rest of the year.

 Clearly it's not the perfect balance that we would have in an ideal world. There's a challenge in opening a new stadium that presents a unique circumstances that we will see this year.

 Basically, it just ruined our day. You go to the field early on the morning of Opening Day, and this is not something you expect to find.
