Rather than genetic differences, I've found that the real differences go away when males and females have equal competitive experiences beginning at a young age. That's happening more in our culture, and no question the top women athletes of the future are going to be just as tough and focused as the top men.

 To even consider winning seven gold medals wouldn't be a smart thing to do. To think about a potential seven gold medals is just ridiculous.

 Nobody asked us how we'd like to receive (their gold medals). It sure wouldn't have been the way it was done. But you quickly realize the athletes have no say in what happens at the Olympics except for your performance. After that, you lose control.

 I wouldn't say there's an imbalance. We have to remember that, yes, Ian is a big celebrity and he does get a lot of attention from the press, but he has broken 22 world records, won five Olympic gold medals and as many world championship gold medals. I think any attention he has gotten, he deserves.

 We would never let go the Olympic gold medals in women's heavyweights unless there were made unpardonable errors in our jobs of training and administrations.

 As of this morning, Scotland has won 11 gold, seven silver and 11 bronze medals, putting us sixth in the medals table.

 I respect everything about Sheryl, how she's handled herself on and off the court. To me, she will always be one of the greatest ambassadors for the game of women's basketball and as a person has helped me win four (WNBA) championships and two gold medals.

 Ian is just so good for our morale. He enjoys enormous credibility among the athletes for his ability to get up and perform at the highest standard every time he competes. His five Olympic gold medals tells the story that we've got one of the best performers in world sport on our team.  Heading into Turin our athletes are legitimate medals contenders for five to seven medals. That puts us on pace to achieve or surpass our best-ever medal total in long track at the Games.

 It is also the first time that the number of the athletes in snow events exceeds those in ice events. Though we are just rookies in snow events, our athletes are confident to try their best in the Games.

 Our goal was to come back and win at least 12 medals in Turin. All the skaters who won medals are back and we've got some great athletes added on to that.
